Overview

You can now control which team members can access and perform actions related to gift cards. This helps protect gift card balances, customer information, and sensitive actions like issuing or deactivating cards.

What you can control

• View Gift Card Orders – See issued gift cards and their order details.
• View Gift Card Products – Access gift card products and view their settings.
• Create/Edit Gift Card Products – Create new gift card products or update existing ones.
• Access Sell Link / Share via QR – Access and share the sell link or QR code for a gift card product.
• Send Gift Cards – Issue gift cards to customers using the send flow.
• View Full Gift Card Code – Allow specific users to reveal the complete gift card code.
• Access Gift Card Details Page – Open and view details for individual gift card orders.
• Delete/Deactivate Gift Cards – Limit who can delete or deactivate gift cards.

Additional notes

• Permissions can be limited to assigned data so users only see records assigned to them (instead of all records), even when they have page access.
• Permissions apply to both the interface and the underlying actions. For example, a support team member can be allowed to view gift card orders without being able to send gift cards, edit gift card products, or reveal full codes.
• Full gift card codes are protected separately, so users without the right permission cannot view them on the order details page.

Where to find it

• Go to: Settings → My Staff → Select Staff Member → Edit → Roles & Permissions → Gift Cards
• In the Gift Cards section, choose the permissions you want for each user.
• Admins keep full access by default; other roles can be limited to only what they need.

What’s next

Access controls for gift cards will continue to expand as new capabilities are added.
